User Manual
Hopefully KoaLocator's self-explanatory but just in case, here's a manual!


This is the main login screen where you can enter your username and password.
Not registered yet? Click Register!
Can't remember your password? Click Forgot Password!


This is the Registration screen where you can register your account.
These details are only used to access the app. You can delete your account details at any time.


This is the Forgotten Password screen where you can reset your password.
This will send you a reset link to the e-mail address you used to register the account.


This is the main screen where you can record a Rescue, a Sighting, or a Deceased Koala.
Menu: Click the 'hamburger' icon to access the main menu.
Rescue date: The data and time will automatically be set as the current data and time. The date and time can be changed as required.
Rescue, Sighting, or Deceased: This lets you select whether it was a Rescue, a Sighting, or if you want to record a Deceased Koala.
Location Name: A name for the rescue. This will appear on the 'World Map'. Examples could be the town, the date, or the sort of rescue. It's up to you!
Address: You can either enter an address, or the latitude and longitude. If you enter an address, click the 'magnifying glass' icon for it to validate the address and automatically populate the latitude and longitude details.
Latitude and Longitude: You can either enter these manually, or click the 'Map' icon to have it automatically populate the latitude and longitude with your current location.
Injury Details: If you saw any injuries, please record them here.
Comments: If there's other details you'd like to record, they can be entered here.
Add Photo: Use this button to take a photo and have it added to the record.
Upload Photo: If you've already taken a photo, use this button to have it added to the record.
Add Video: Use this button to take a video and have it added to the record.
Record Audio: Use this button to record audio of the Koala and add it to the record. (Koalas make amazing sounds!)
Save Rescue: Click the 'Save Rescue' button to save the record.




This is the main menu screen where you can access the other KoaLocator functions.
World Map: Click this to see all your records on a map.
About Us: This is a shameless plug of ourselves and The Wildlings Woodend Wildlife Shelter.
List Records: List, and if needed edit, your records.
Manual Sync: If you're in sketchy mobile Internet reception, click here to try to force a manual sync of your records.
Export to CSV: Download an export of your records, including any photos, videos, and audio recordings.
Settings: Access settings such as account Deletion.
Logout: Log out of your account.


This is the World Map screen where you can see all of your Rescue, Sightings, and Deceased records.


You can click on a record in the World Map screen to see a summary of record details.


This screen provides a brief summary of what KoaLocator is hoping to achieve. Click 'Learn More' to find out about us, and The Wildlings Woodend Wildlife Shelter.


Click the List Records button to list your records and edit them.


Selecting a record lets you modify any of the fields, and update the record, or cancel the changes.


Click the Manual Sync button to (as the name suggests) manually sync the records with the central record store. If you've got Internet connectivity, this should show 'Success' as shown in this screen. If it doesn't work first go, give it another click...


Click the 'Export to CSV' button to download a copy of your records, including any media (photos, videos, and audio).


Click the 'Settings' button to delete your account. You'll be asked for confirmation before you do.


Click the 'Logout' button to log out of your account.
